Elizabeth Barker has practiced law in the Canberra Region since being first admitted to practice in 1968. She has completed degrees in both Arts and Law at the University of Sydney and has been admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia.

Elizabeth has a large general practice and now specialises in Estate work. She employs both energy and efficiency in the administration of deceased estates and in a number of instances has had substantial involvement in aspects of estate administration in other countries. She believes that after the loss of a family member her clients need not only understanding of their recent experience but resolution of estate matters in a timely manner. She also understands that in many instances disputes and claims can be satisfactorily and economically resolved by negotiation at an early stage.

With expertise gained over many years in estate matters, Elizabeth is able to advise in relation to the many issues that require careful consideration in the preparation of wills (both simple and complex) and powers of attorney.
